The workforce challenges faced by Queensland’s minerals and energy sector are complex and varied. Tackling them successfully will require innovation, expertise, and partnership from all stakeholders across Queensland’s resources industry. It’s with this kind of proactive, collaborative approach that Resources WIDE was created.
Funded by the Queensland Government through the Workforce Connect Fund and lead by the Queensland Resources Council, Queensland’s independent body representing the commercial developers of Queensland’s minerals & energy sector, Resources WIDE takes a research-backed approach to attracting, retaining and progressing people from diverse backgrounds.
Real-world insights from industry across the state were combined with expertise from Central Queensland University and Social Traders. The result is a platform of tools, knowledge and know-how; all backed by research and guided by the needs of our sector.
